In the third quarter of 2024, Hungary's food delivery app market experienced notable trends in weekly downloads and active users, according to Sensor Tower data. Here's a closer look at the top five apps dominating the scene.

foodora: Food & Groceries saw a significant surge in weekly downloads, particularly in September. Starting from around 6K in early July, downloads skyrocketed to nearly 83K by the end of September. Active users also followed an upward trajectory, beginning at approximately 87K in July and reaching over 157K by quarter's end.

Wolt Delivery: Food and more maintained a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at about 6.1K in early July and climbing to over 8.5K in late September. The app's active users saw a gradual rise from 80K to 86K over the same period.

Kifli.hu experienced a consistent pattern in downloads throughout the quarter. Starting from just over 1K in July, the app's downloads fluctuated slightly, ending at around 1.3K in September.

Lieferando.de observed a modest decline in downloads, from approximately 1.3K in July to 762 by the end of September. However, the number of active users remained relatively stable, hovering around the 6.5K mark throughout the quarter.

Wolt Courier Partner showed an increase in downloads, particularly noticeable in August and early September, peaking at about 1.6K. Active users increased steadily from around 18.8K to over 20K by the end of the quarter.
